Now, I know I’m not the greatest at applying mascara when you think about the whole neatness factor. That’s why it’s the first makeup product I apply to my face, before eyeshadow, eyeliner and even foundation!! But I do have a few neat little tricks that can make the end result well worth the money you spent on that mascara that promised you everything!!
As I mention in the video, I like to always use two mascaras: one for lengthening and one for thickening. I don’t really find that one mascara can do both very well. Please let me know if you think otherwise though!! I am very willing to try out new products =)
My go to eye makeup remover for waterproof products is L’Oreal’s Gentle Makeup-Up Remover for Eyes and Lips (the waterproof version). This is one of those formulations that you need to shake the bottle before dispensing it to make sure you mix the oil and water based components before using the product. This is a really good makeup remover for the budget conscious makeup enthusiast.
Finally, the eyelash comb itself. The one I found in Melbourne, Australia, was the only one with metal teeth in it that could be purchased singly and not in a set of other crappy brushes or toenail clippers. It is definitely a lovely product though. One side of this tool is the metal toothed comb I introduced in my video, and the other side is an eyebrow brush. It is designed by Pixiwoo makeup artist Samantha Chapman and is a part of her makeup brush line called “Real Techniques” listed as the “Lash-Brow Groomer”.
