Today’s Monday Makeup Tip is a very much requested topic - how to get that perfect winged eyeliner?? While I must admit it does come down to a bit of good old practice, I’ve compiled a few tricks that will help make it easier for you along the way. Keep in mind, it’s only makeup so if you do make a mistake, all you need to do is remove it =)
Cat wing eyeliner doesn’t suit everybody. It looks great on almond shaped eyes but can look a bit strange on rounder eyes sometimes.
For those of you with rounder shaped eyes, try keeping the liner concentrated towards the outer edge of your eye to create the illusion of length.
In this tutorial, I show you how to apply your cat winged eyeliner both with liquid and gel liner. Gel’s are great for staying power and the waterproof one’s (like Bobbi Brown) won’t budge no matter what you’re doing through the day. Liquid applicators with the felt tip style tend to be very precise though. I especially like Maybelline’s Masterprecise Liquid Eyeliner with it’s 0.05mm tip!!
Make sure you watch the whole video to see how setting your eyeliner in your waterline can help it last all day long!! I like to use Sugarpill’s matt eyeshadows for this in either Tako (white) or Bulletproof (Black) depending on what I have applied to my waterline.
