I love colour correctors!! Best trick in the business for ways to avoid cake face. Correctors use tricks of the light to help correct blemishes and discolourations of the skin from pimples to age spots to bruises. The idea is that you use your knowledge of the colour wheel to help CORRECT imperfections on the skin as opposed to caking on products onto your face in order to CONCEAL imperfections on the skin.
The quad I use in my video is by Coastal Scents, a US online budget makeup website, great for beginners but try to share postage with a friend if you can when ordering!!
If you only require one or two colours and don't need a whole palette for colour correcting, you can always purchase the Illamasqua cream pigments. They come in a great range of colours, are very pigmented (so a little goes a long way) and can also be used for eyeshadow bases\ or even lip/cheek colours!!
As for application, I find that clean fingers are a great way to get these creamy kind of products to really melt into the skin and give you that flawless finish that you’re after. \Make sure, if you are working around the eye area that you only PAT with your fingers, do not RUB as you will stretch and age the delicate eye skin before its time. Be patient and allow your body heat to melt the product into your skin. For those of you with longer nails, a fluffy brush (ideally synthetic) is perfect and you can still warm the product up on your hand to help buff it into the skin more easily.
