Brow grooming can be such a controversial topic. I know that in the online world, my brows have previously been the cause for scandal. I simply happen to not be a fan of the skinny over-plucked “startled’ brow look and an avid fan of the Audrey Hepburn brow.
Whatever you preference, however, this week’s tutorial video is designed to help you discover your perfect brown grooming regime from choosing your shape, plucking and trimming and right through to makeup for being as subtle or dramatic as you would like =)
Please remember that the information provided in this video is only intended to be used as a guide. There are technically no right or wrong answers when it comes to this topic. So please feel free to take on all or none of the tips for your own personal use. Some of them may be great for you while others may not suit your tastes, and that’s what makes makeup so fun and diverse!!
For example, I know that some people intentionally shave off parts or all of their brows to make reshaping them a different and new possibility each day. Others may prefer to use a gel liner for their brow colour of choice, this tends to work especially well for those of you who like to wear a fun coloured brow and/or have a bit more sparse eyebrow hair.
And the brush!! Generally the most popular was to do this is with an angled liner brush. Even those of you who prefer to use a eyebrow pencil, as opposed to powder or gel, may find that using a brush to apply your product can make precision a whole lot easier. I recommend trying to find a brush with the thinnest possible edge on it, like a knife!! Ideally, synthetic brushes tend to hold their shape a little better this way as well as last a bit better when being used in wet products too.
Now, I have tried a few different brow products and am a fan of the powder to be honest. I find it is the easiest to get in between my coarse brow hairs without looking overdone and Illamasqua eyebrow cakes also contain a wax in the powder so it sticks a lot better and lasts all day.
